About the Nordic Game Community
The mission of the Nordic Game Community is to sustain and share the Nordic games industry’s success by providing a cooperative online platform for community engagement, as well as the latest news from Nordic Game and the games industry in the Nordic region.
Nordic Game created the first Nordic Game conference in 2004 and subsequently raised 12 million EUR from Nordic governments to found the Nordic Game Program. Nordic Game also administered the resulting Nordic game development grant program over six years for 107 projects selected from 1,277 applications, half of which have been published.
Nordic Game is driven by Nordic Game Resources AB, a privately held Swedish limited company formed in 1990 and based in Malmö, Sweden.
Part of the Nordic Game Community website, the Nordic Game Directory provides up-to-date listings of game-related educational and research institutions, event organisers, game developers and other game-related businesses, as well as games industry and government organisations, legal businesses and specialty press throughout the Nordic region.
In 2014, Nordic Game also launched a new Nordic Game conference website as well as Nordic Game Funding, a game financing information portal. September 2015 was the debut of Nordic Game Universe, an open-to-the-public exhibition of Nordic indie games in conjunction with Comic Con Malmö. Nordic Game will roll-out several new online platforms – including Nordic Game Careers – over the coming months to better serve the Nordic games community.
Nordic Game Community membership is free-of-charge and features a range of benefits including Nordic Game conference discounts and special offers from Nordic Game partners, as well as a subscription to the Nordic Game newsletter. Join us today!
